CONTRIBUTOR NOTES

Aviv Maish is a Mechanical Engineering student taking classes at Moorpark to supplement a degree at Cal Poly SLO. Aviv recently gained an interest in fantasy writing after binging tons of books over the Covid lockdowns. With his own writing, he is most excited to explore how the technologies and tools available to people can shape our interpersonal and cultural relationships.

Teddy Skye Garcia (he/him): is a playwright, performer, public speaker, and fiber artist who writes a lot of little stories about whales. His full-length play, “A Narrator’s Story,” was produced in October of 2019, and he has more youth theatre just waiting in the wings! He enjoys performing in musical theatre, studying case law, and playing with his four dogs. Teddy has been a dual enrollment student at Moorpark for three years now, and is incredibly grateful for everything this school has given him, including the opportunity to help organize this year’s edition of The Moorpark Review. He wants to thank every person who submitted their work, and extend an especially large thank you towards Professor Mansfield.

Taylor Monet Welch: is in the midst of a great journey, under the guise of the following working titles: "Untitled Stream of Frustration" "Garbage Kingdom" "Something Less Angsty to Balance Out the Other Two Listings" Taylor regards Moorpark College as the only purgatory where people not only get out, but go forth into their new lives having gained the skills they may have needed. Here's to many more years of self-discovery and angst!

Danielle (Danny) Daly is a film major at Moorpark College from Southern California. Her work is inspired by the many things she’s encountered in her home state. Her hobbies include playing weird horror games, overthinking film, and television, and listening to a concerning amount of Vocaloid. She found a love for writing at a very young age, beginning to write screenplays in high school. She decided to take the jump into writing prose in the hopes of becoming a better writer and one day publishing her work. She enjoys the likes of fantasy, and magical realism. Most of all, she thanks you for taking the time to read her work. Special thanks to her best friend, and partner. She wouldn't be doing this without their support.

Emma Sterling is an avid writer, artist, and musician, as well as a first-year student at Moorpark College. Her work explores all things spooky, magical, and macabre; her favorite reading and writing genres are fantasy and mystery (and sometimes both combined). Some of her interests include vintage fashion, Gothic literature, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends, though she can frequently be found watching cartoons to indulge her more childlike side. In the future, Emma hopes to earn a degree in English, start a career as a novelist, and retire to a secluded and probably haunted mansion with a spacious library.

Maxwell Enochs is a poet and first-year English major at Moorpark College. His work is inspired by struggles with gender, mental health, and his journey through personal growth. In his free time, Max enjoys spending time with family and playing video games.

Luke Provchy is a writer trying to create something that evokes emotion, whether it's fear, sorrow, anger, or happiness. Luke is currently majoring in Psychology, and hope to continue pursuing writing on the side as he gains more experiences to enhance his stories.
